BIO
When I was a child, I wanted to become an artist. As a freshman in high school, I had already decided on my future career. I began my graphic design journey at fourteen years old. I began as a self-taught designer by using smartphone applications and learned the definitions of graphic design. I was first introduced to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator in the classroom. I understood the basics of these programs, but I knew that there was so much more to learn. I hoped to express my creativity and I realized that I truly loved the career I wanted to pursue. Throughout high school, I continued designing with smartphone applications; as I did not own a computer to use Adobe programs. I created the Powderpuff football team logo for the annual homecoming game and also helped promote various sporting events around campus. During this time, I also managed an Instagram account to showcase my personal work. I had the opportunity to showcase my designs to Kendall Coyne Schofield (PWHL / USA National Hockey Team) and her husband Michael Schofield (NFL). At Roosevelt University, I began to learn more advanced skills and techniques within multiple Adobe programs. Along with my education, I also designed graphics for the women’s hockey team’s Instagram. In my final semester, I was granted an internship with the school, in which I gained more of an understanding of marketing and brand identity. Currently, I am a graphic designer with the Chicago Sky. This opportunity has allowed me to expand my skills and knowledge while working in a fast-paced environment.
For my projects, I often use Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Lightroom, After Effects, and Premiere Pro). My knowledge of these programs have given me the opportunity to work on a large variety of social, digital, and print projects. Along with graphic design, I also enjoy photography and designing custom sports jerseys. I love showcasing my designs and seeing people's reactions. Producing art that is very special to someone means a great deal to me. I am dedicated and enthusiastic about graphic design, and I am glad to have pursued this career since I was young.
